Can anyone recommend a good shampoo and conditioner for dry, thick curly hair?

I am currently using Pantene Hydrating Curls but don;t think it conditions well. I am losing a ton of hair trying to get the knots out.

I understand your pain, I've battled with hellish thick unruly curly frizzy hair for my whole life. Truth is, you do tend to need to pay a bit more to get a good product - but the results make it worth it.

Here are some brands I really like and I think you should try:

1) Paul Mitchell - from salons only:

Awaphuhi Shampoo 鎷?ish

Colour Protect Conditioner (even if your hair is not coloured, this is a really good moisturising conditioner) 鎷?ish

2)Aussie - Boots, Superdrug:

Miracle Moist Shampoo and Conditioner - 鎷?.50ish

3 minute Miracle - 鎷?ish

3) Tony %26amp; Guy - Salons only:

Fashionista Colour Conditioner

Curls Rock Shampoo and Conditioner

4) Kerastase

Soin Elasto-Curl 200ml

All their deep treatments are great too

BUT if you are super broke, Tresemme moisturising range is pretty cheap and quite good.

The Fructis combination shampoo / conditioners work wery well... try one for dry hair...

You could try a separate conditioner with the Pantene... and / or a light hold styling gel or shine enhancer rubbed into your damp hair before combing through to make it much easier.

I use Pantene as well. But I use the one in the brown bottle. It is Pantene for "Woman of Color." I use both the shampoo and conditioner and it works great.

Pantene is probably one of the worst things u can put in your hair. Honestly, use Infusium 23. You will LOVE the conditioner. If your hair is REALLY dry, use the leave in treatment as well.
