I have wavey hair- it has been 16 weeks since my last touch up and i was wonder how long should a person wait to press their hair- I am trying to pull away from the relaxers, but i dont want to lose any hair in the process. and is there any type of pressing cream to keep your hair looking straight?

i am in the same predicament. i would say if you hair isn't totally unmanageable to go natural and do the pressing every wash

anything that is heat -related are very damaging for the hair.Just stay away from both relaxers and straighteners/hot comb.My hair is wavy and i havent put any heat since 3 yrs.oh except when i wash it ,i have to blow dry it.
now,back to your Q,theres this thing called Optimum care(anti breakage therapy)it's really good and it keeps hair straight.......and stronger....its red ,you can find it at sallys or walgreens i think
