I have a male friend who is 40 years old. Recently I saw him and when he turned around he had a couple of small patches of hair missing. I asked him what happened and he hadnt even noticed it. 2 weeks later when I saw him he had a few more patches. He made an appt to see his doctor and they gave him some cream and said he had a rare balding skin disorder and now he has to go see a dermatologist. The doc said the cream may help his hair grow back or maybe not. What is this disorder called? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
